| to set up the image plane is easy 1get the dimensions of the image (in photoshop hit crtl +alt+I to get the image dimensions) 2. in maya create a plane and scale it to the exact dimensions you saw in photoshop 3. go to the hypershade (window>rendering editors>hypershade) 4. create a lambert 5. hit ctrl+A to bring up the attribute editor 6. on the colour you will see a checker box on the right 7. click on it 8. select file 9. click on the little folder icon you see 10. locate the image 11.close the attribute editor 12. with your hypershade window still open middle mouse drag the shader unto the plane 13. select 6 on the keyboard the you should see the image in the maya windows |
